Caring for someone with a neurological condition

Our experienced nurse-led teams care for people of all ages with neurological conditions at varying stages. Some of the people we support had an abrupt ‘one off’ event which resulted in an acquired brain injury whilst others have congenital, hereditary/genetic neurological conditions that evolve over many years. There are hundreds of different neurological conditions from the more common to the very rare with enormous variations in how symptoms affect people’s lives.

Conditions we care for include:

  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Lock-in Syndrome
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Huntington’s Disease
  • Cerebral Palsy

"The support and care we are receiving has made a huge difference to him and the rest of the family."

Michael Ashton | Exeter

“The Ocean Team leaders and carers are amazing. We really value their support."
