(Updated) The Importance of REGULAR Testing for Ocean Healthcare Workers
The Importance of REGULAR Testing for Ocean Healthcare Workers
I contacted you at the end of last week asking for you to commit to regular testing as part of the ongoing fight against Coronavirus.
As you know, the care sector and care homes especially have been significantly impacted by Coronavirus. We are, therefore, looking to provide reassurance to our care home clients that we have put into place all possible precautions to ensure our Ocean Healthcare workforce are doing their utmost to protect their staff and service users.
We are aware that the official website was not updated last week to make it clear that as a Healthcare worker you are entitled to a test, regardless of whether you have symptoms or not. So, to help avoid any misunderstanding, we have included an extract from Matt Hancock’s announcement confirming your entitlement and it appears that the site has now been updated.
We believe we need to start preparing for weekly testing. The more often you are tested, the more confidence we will be able to provide to our care home clients, that we are safe and managing the risk of spreading the infection.
Regular testing is an important component of how we are managing this risk. Testing centres are permanently based in Exeter, Plymouth and Barnstaple and there are other pop-up centres regularly appearing in other parts of Devon and Somerset.
Therefore, I’m asking you to arrange to get tested as frequently as possible and share the results of your test with us.
Please leave us a message and we will respond to you as soon as we can. During evenings and weekends, we may take longer but we will get in touch by the next working day. Thank you, we look forward to connecting with you.
