Keeping up the fight against the Coronavirus and Covid-19!
Thank you to all of you who are getting tested and continued to provide fantastic work and support during these difficult times. Well done to everyone who is getting themselves tested we need to keep up the momentum on this to maintain client confidence so, please do continue to do this as regularly as possible, and let the office know your results.
Keeping up the fight to help prevent Coronavirus spreading
It is still essential that everyone plays their part in preventing Coronavirus spreading by following government guidance. The main way everyone can do this is to continue to stay at home unless going to work, collecting essential shopping or taking daily exercise. If you do go out keep 2m away from other people.
It is particularly important that healthcare workers are super cautious, and encourage members of your household to be so too, as we are still front-line carers for the most vulnerable and at-risk in society.
Here is a quick reminder of ways we can act responsibly:
If you or any member of your family have symptoms do not leave home.
Wash hands and face frequently (a minimum of 7 times a day) and especially when you return home.
Follow government guidelines on meeting other people, avoid crowds and remember the 2m rule.
Follow guidance at work, and assist with keeping the environment clean/sanitized and well ventilated.
Updating your Infection Control knowledge
It’s also important that everyone is up to date with the latest infection control information.
Skills for Health have updated their infection control training with advice specifically around Covid-19. The course is FREE to take, takes approximately 2 hours to complete and includes information such as infection prevention, PPE, hand and respiratory hygiene, management and assessment, sampling and testing, patient transfers/managing patients and much more, to support you in your role.
