Coronavirus Face Shield
A local friend of Ocean Healthcare has sadly had to close his business temporarily due to the Coronavirus.
Inspired by a suggestion while sat at home, he figured out how to make Face Shields using the equipment he has in his workshop.
These have obviously not received CE or NHS approval, but they are quite simple and appear to be a close match to the equipment being officially supplied.
Our friend (Phil) is making these face shields at cost of £1.90 + v.a.t. he can only make about 250 a day and already his order book is pretty full.
However, if you would like to place an order request Ocean Healthcare are coordinating this.
These are exclusively available to health and social care workers providing close care where they might be at risk from bodily fluids (e.g. from coughing).
Please only make an order request if you absolutely need them and only for the amount that you will actually use.
We will process your order and try to prioritise those with the greatest need.
We may not be able to fulfil your request at all and may only be able to fulfil part of it.
You will need to collect you order from one of our branch offices in Exeter or Paignton.
We will attempt to process some orders for delivery through the post office.
We will do our best to acknowledge your order request and keep you updated with likelihood of supply and quantity available.
Who Can Use Our Face Shields?:
Face Shields should be used by healthcare workers who are working within close proximity to someone who has been confirmed with a case of Covid-19 or where the person they are supporting is displaying symptoms.
Face Shields are £2.28 each (£1.90 + v.a.t.)
Please note: this is cost price only, no profit is being made by anyone for the supply of these face shields.
